About The Founder

Ashley is a sociologist, strategic designer, and Black girl enthusiast dedicated to creating peak moments that celebrate the social and cultural significance of red lipstick in Black women’s lives. Through Blonde Sugar Cosmetics, she sows seeds of empowerment and self-celebration during one of the most intimate rituals a woman experiences at her makeup vanity.

"Red lipstick has long been a symbol of power, and I embrace it as such, using it to define iconic moments . My connection its legacy of beauty, confidence, and self-expression fuels my approach as a strategic designer. It’s my opportunity to pour into the lives of Black girls across the world one makeup vanity at a time. At the heart of it all, I want my voice as a design thinker to leading the conversation and redefining how Black women experience beauty, power, and self-worth."
